Some people only want to stand, so wouldn't buy early on if not an option. But then they clearly also didn't do so when it was an option, hence it now being closed.

Apparently we had sold about 250 terrace tickets. It holds about 2,700. You can suggest people would have bought just before KO all you like, but either way it would be a very small crowd in the terrace so I fully get why the club has closed it, whilst also getting the arguments for keeping it open. Ultimately if more people bothered buying, it would have remained open.

Wycombe had the majority of their home stands closed for the first round too, I will also add, including their only terrace. Albeit they made that decision from the off.
