Yeah, dunno how he escaped a yellow card for the penalty today, but it would (should) have been a FK and red card if adjudged to have been outside the box (the line counts as a penalty). And we had made all subs so would have needed to put an outfield player in goal for the remainder.
It would have meant Marschall only missed the Reading cup game, which Barden may start anyway, so being only one down and him missing that would not necessarily have been bad, but having to put somebody else in goal for the rest of today's game would not have been ideal.
