Valid points.

I did make the point in the car home yesterday that much as Roberts does my head in, I could see a world where him, Magennis and Kemp works, where Reid in the same way doesn't. Roberts has decent pace over ten yards, so if he plays on the shoulder and Magennis can win some flick-ons, Roberts could be clean through, similar to our goal yesterday. Or Kemp is in the hole to pick up any knock-downs, or balls the defender wins the header but is at least challenged by Magennis (unlike Reid) so has less control over where the header lands.

For me, Magennis HAS to start over Reid at the weekend. I would also not start Roberts, but wouldn't be as against him starting, if the above happens. Magennis has earned it with two goal contributions in two games, and it gives a message to Reid that he has to he better. He isn't going to give us 90 mins every week, but I am sure he can give us an hour and then be replaced by Reid/Sanderson/Roberts/Malcolm.

I expect our fans, especially at home, to be a lot more vocal about things this season, and if Revs continues to persevere with underperforming and undeserving players, I reckon he is going to hear it quite clearly from a lot of people this year, moreso than last.
