We had plenty of complaining despite being at the sharp end of the table all season. The football wasn’t great, granted. But it’s the type of football Stevenage have to play to compete in League One. Should we not be challenging for the play-offs (a very realistic possibility) then I can imagine the place becoming toxic very quickly. From there the club could get sucked into a bad place (relegation battle). I doubt it but nothing is ever certain.
Hopefully my faith in the club having a plan to replace Banfield isn’t misplaced. No doubt Revs’ long term contract will be mentioned too somewhere. It’s in investment in a long term project and people would do well to remember that if this does turn into a transitional season for us.
