Given that an attackers can go either side of you, other than training your mind to position yourself to jockey/show them down the "other side" outside the job of LCB and RCB shouldn't be that different.

Maybe it's the leading foot in the tackle that holds a player back from swirching sides, and going in with the "wrong" foot, not many CBs are two footed. Even though tackling is massibely rarer than it used to be.
