League Cup

A couple of interesting* things as a result of Palace winning the Conference League last night and therefore qualifying for Europe again.
Firstly, it means all three sides relegated from the Premier League this season will now enter the League Cup in the First Round (they normally enter in the Second Round), so we could potentially start our new season with West Ham away.
Secondly, it means the requirement for two preliminary round matches, but with three northern sides (Rochdale, York, Tranmere, joining Crawley), in what is supposed to be a regionalised draw. And with the quick turnaround between that and the First Round, depending on how they decide to do it it could mean one of them in the southern section in the First Round, so you could potentially have Plymouth or Exeter versus Tranmere, or us versus Tranmere/Rochdale/York in a supposedly regionalised southern section!
*depending on your definition of the word.
