I’d definitely call last night an outlier. We’re generally well drilled and disciplined. We just don’t allow ourselves to be tonked as we were last night.

Last night we were more open from the word go. Once the first goal went in we then had to chase the game and opened up even more, that’s football, we see it in games everywhere. Dan Phillips did us no favours getting sent off after Revs had made the tactical change and it all went to hell in a hand basket after that. No way would we have withdrawn Sweeney after the red card. These things happen though.

We don’t really press heavily across the entire pitch, we’re more a harrying in the final third outfit with a disciplined defence and that’s worked all season long. The game got stretched as we chased it with a man deficit. I’d not read too much into last night.

If we cross Bolton’s path again in the play-offs hopefully they’ll think of last night and perhaps be a bit complacent. One can only hope.
