For a journey of that distance, £40 or £45 seems very fair value to me.

Also disagree the SA should directly subsidise it. As Balders says (in amongst his right-on dribblings), the SA commit to running a coach to all (league) games regardless of uptake, so if numbers are not sufficient they indirectly subsidise the travel, but if interest is there they don't, and shouldn't IMO.

And ultimately the coach is run to benefit the fans, not the SA. Any SA profits come from other means, not from the coach, they run the coach purely for the sake of those fans who otherwise would struggle to attend matches, or would have to pay a hell of a lot more if relying on public transport.

Edit: But absolutely fair fucks to all of our fans who travelled yesterday (and to any away game), that is top commitment. Having gone to Plymouth and back on a Tuesday night the first time we played them I know exactly what a slog it is!
