Same. They might all also be waiting to see how we finish the season, how much they play and whether they're going to be first team starters. Perhaps why White and Phillips are starting more often now. More likely to sign if they're main players (and more weight in contract negotiations) than if just coming on as a sub each game.

Players will, I assume, be weighing up ambition, money and game time. If we can guarantee game time, they might take less money, or if you pay more they might accept being sub (Man City). If they see a genuine chance of promotion (ahead of a season) they might be more inclined to stay.
