Too early for Revs Out but let's not bury our heads in the sand.

I don't want to jump on the Revs out calls for starters but WHEN are some on here going to stop living off our first 10 games and start acknowledging the now 14 games since?
First 10 games we got 25 points before teams could suss us out and the only team of real merit we faced were Huddersfield, who we lost to.
You could make an argument for Luton but they were awful at the time and have since changed manager.
We have now taken just 12pts in the last 14 games with a record that reads as this...
P14 W2 D6 L6
We have taken just 3pts more in our last 14 than bottom of the table Port Vale have in theirs.
Let that sink in.
The reality is something is deeply wrong and we need to STOP going off what we did in the first two months of the season.
During that opening run I got involved in the hypothetical talks about the Championship as a fun positive exercise BUT when it came to serious talks I repeatedly said it was too soon to actually consider us contenders for promotion.
We will finish mid-table and I'll take that BUT if we maintain our current average just over 55% of our points would have come in the first 10.
Put another way if this had been our average from the start we'd finish on 39-40pts.
That would have had us 22nd and relegated. We are currently experiencing relegation form with only that start to anchor us now. We're not in a relegation fight but we should expect better than that form.
We would finish on 55-56pts as it stands if we maintain this current form (but it does feel likely something will change for the better or worse). We finished on 57pts last season so that's a small positive.
We COULD start winning again next game and go on a bit of a streak but right now we need to go on what is happening with the team. Right now a streak looks unlikely.
It's not fickle to point out we are in decline.
To finish on some hope, we still have two weeks or so left in January. We could absolutely make some ambitious signings (relative to our means), change things up, and start pushing again.
So I'm willing to get behind Revs still and see what he does in the next 2 months or so.
If things continue the way they have the last 14 games then a conversation needs to be had BUT as I was saying in our first 10 games about genuine promotion talk...
It's still too early to thinking about Revs Out.
