Ignoring the hair, the bad pitches and the tackles...watching Big Match revisited from 1976 and for corners the referee positioned himself off the pitch where the 6 yard box intersects the byline, and the linesman (they were all male then) at that end did the same the other side of the 6 yard box.
Kinda makes sense apart from not being in a position to call offside in the second phase.
Goalkeepers didn't wear gloves either.
