Trains are there to serve passengers. That's it. That's their sole purpose.
If too many people are getting on/off and it takes a bit longer to move through Stevenage as a result, that means trains are doing their job better than expected, change the fucking plan.
Don't tell people wanting to go to London, that when the London bound train pulls onto platform 2 and its doors open that they can't get on it because it might delay it by a minute or three. (Unless its at absolute capacity, i.e. rammed like a tube train, and it's a safety issue).
Yes I know it's not that simple. Rant over.
