Big clubs can reduce tickets to fill seats and you end up with a pretty different turnout to what you would on a matchday with price-conscious families or students turning out in place of season ticket holders. Think it was like that in the home end when we beat Villa.
I don't think we have the economies of scale to make it work often. You'd need a really specific fixture exciting enough to fill the ground but not enough so you that couldn't just do it at full price.
