It's not a Football Offences Act offence if it was a social media message.

Depending on content/context it is more likely to be malicious communication under the 2003 Communications Act, (with the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 as amended, creating the aggravating factor for sentencing purposes if the message was for example racist, as it would appear to be here).

Or inciting racial hatred.
