Very similar playing style. Rev’s constantly barking orders about our press. Was clear that individuals don’t know their “roles” yet; when to/not to press and who their marks are.

That being said lots of good energy. Continually trying to keep a narrow shape and force Watford out wide, for us to try and turn the ball over. Not as much Evans ball as I expected.

Good game against a team that like to play. If it weren’t for it being a PSF we’d definitely hav gotten a few cards for tackles. First goal felt very similar to the one England conceded, caught it possession in front of our back 4, not closed down and a great strike to finish.

Thought the back 4 generally looked solid even after the team rotated in the second half. Kane’s decision making could improve I felt but nothing major.

Standouts for me were:
Apere
White
Hicks
Pidge
Roberts

I’d give Roberts Motm, amazing defensive work and most of our chances came through him.

I know he’s young but Harrison looked out of his depth. Don’t really remember a moment where he did anything apart from winning a free kick.

List also didn’t look sharp, great runs only for his first touch to knock the ball out of play

Again…all the first game of the season but a lot to be excited about!
