It would had been a fantastic achievement to have reached the championship, like Wycombe did a few seasons ago, but I’m sure getting spanked most weeks would had been quite demoralising for the players, we haven’t the budget to compete at those levels, securing league one status was our main priority, now consolidate and establish ourselves as a solid league one team, and when the opportunity for playoffs came round again, maybe our experience will help us get over the finish line
Look at teams like Sunderland, Portsmouth, Ipswich with all their resources, it took years to get out of league one, it’s a tough league
