I agree the likelihood is another manager could get more out of these players but I also think we give them too much credit. Including me. I often say individually these players are great but let's look a little closer as to why they aren't getting results? So just focusing on the negatives here let's look at key players weaknesses.

Tom King - finally a good keeper. But before that we had a poor one leading to goals conceded.

Henry - much as I love him he isn't as quick as he used to be and can be targeted.

Wilmot - young and inexperienced. Still learning. Ive noticed a drop in level of performance over last 3 games

Franks - always has a mistake in him.

Vancooten - again still learning and gets exposed because of it.

Wilkinson - not very quick. Again can make mistakes.

King - well he's perfect

McKee - makes wrong decisions sometimes giving the ball away in dangerous areas.

Smith - no comment

Goddard - only just joined us. Takes time to gel.

Kennedy - hasn't been same player this season. Doesn't take on players any more.

Godden - isn't the sort of player who can play with back to goal. Ball doesn't stick when played to him.

Newton - head down, run. We commit forward and he loses the ball, they break.

Revell - new player needs time to form understanding with others.

When you put all these together even if half the team are on the top of their game, if not everyone is then we are always going to struggle.

Obviously they all have massive positives too. But they're not as perfect as we make out. The reason they play for us is because they either aren't the finished article yet or aren't consistent.

When you have a young or inexperienced team together with a young and inexperienced manager at this level, it means we end up like we are. Bottom half.

The simplest short term solution is to get in a better manager. No one is going to do the above after every game and we can't change all those flaws easily so it's easier just to say we need a new manager. And yes that would probably work (as long as we get someone better in).

Or we just wait, suffer being shit for a while and see as the players remove the weakness from their games whether we get any better.

I'm sitting on the fence.
