Would tend to agree with you, our best run of results during Sarll’s reign was when Day played regularly in goal and pushed us towards the playoffs. This was until one bad game, whereupon he was subsequently dropped coinciding in a legendary loss of form catapulting us down the table from an otherwise very healthy position, but still wasn’t recalled despite the obvious ‘form coincidence’ .

This season, Fryer, in contrast, costs us goals almost every other game with basic mistakes, especially dealing with crosses and doesn’t get dropped.

This area of stubborn management decision making alone would lead me to question tactical judgement and management skill.

Perhaps Day has ‘lost it’ slightly due to getting on a bit, but is Fryer an adequate long term solution?
