It's not an overreaction. It's based on all but one performance we've seen this season.

In 4 out of the 7 games we've played, we've given up a winning position.

3-1 against Newport, drew 3-3.
1-0 against Colchester, drew 1-1.
1-0 against Lincoln, lost 2-1.
1-0 against Crawley, drew 1-1.

That's 9 points (!!). If we held onto all of those games (and lets face it, we were comfortable in all of them, it's not like we were clinging on for dear life when we went ahead) we would be 2 points clear at the top.

You might be able to give credit to some of those teams... or you could see a pattern emerging that we don't know how to close out games and we don't have the ruthlessness required to finish teams off. It's not a pre-season rustiness thing, either, because, Newport aside, the goals aren't coming right at the end of the game.
